Nozzles

Used to place pre-defined nozzle symbols in the drawing.

Accessed from:

The following gallery displays which can be left floating or docked to the drawing area.

Select the symbol by clicking the item name or the associated icon. After the equipment symbol is selected, and prior to placing it in the drawing, OpenPlant PID displays the Component Properties dialog prompting you to build a tag number for the nozzle.

Note: If the Tag Dialog Prompt option is turned off in the PID Document dialog's Settings tab, then a default tag number will be used and the Component Properties dialog does not display. The next available tag number in an incremental sequence is assigned to the component. Properties and tag numbers can be edited in the Properties dialog after placement.
The following options are available:
  • Nozzle
  • Nozzle Single
  • Nozzle Double
  • Coupling
  • Coupler

The Nozzles/Coupling symbols require vessel selection (to indicate the item on which the trim is to be placed) and rotation selection prior to placement.

The Coupler can be placed in space or connected to another nozzle. Allows rotational orientation during placement.
